2009 Thanksgiving

Welcome to our house for Thanksgiving!

Grandpa brought over some beautiful Oncidiums along with his best ever Lemon Iced Tea.

I went to the SF Flower Mart the day before and found some amazing Peonies for the house. They were flown in from New Zealand, so naturally quite expensive. Well worth every penny though. They opened up more each day and are still looking heavenly!

I can't stop admiring them everytime I see them! Ahhhh.....

We also had some blooms from the newest climbing rose (Climbing Eden).

The little monkeys got to have a little play date before we all sat down for dinner

Some Peanut Brittles (Dave's secret recipe) to tie us over before the big dinner

We made the Turducken which came out of the oven looking gorgeous!

Here's the Turkey giving birth to the duck.

Bo and Miche brought delicious Collard Greens with Bacon, Butternut Squash with Wild Rice, and Sweet Potatoes with Pineapple and Beer Brats.

Renee brought over Brussel Sprouts with Chestnut, and Pumpkin Cheesecake. Lola of course brought her famous Sticky Rice Stuffing. With our Butternut Squash Soup, Coleslaw, and Biscuits, we had a full table of FOOD!

By the end of the night we were all stuffed silly with food and Ella had her first Thanksgiving with everyone.

Ella at 7 months

My little girl is getting so big too fast! She's already outgrowing 9 month old clothes and fitting bearly into her 12 month clothes (although the legs and sleeves are too long). She's getting really good at the cat pose, but is imitating a puppy here.

One of chuba wabba's favorite snack is her own foot. Sometimes she takes both big toes simultaneously.

Ella got sick for the first time the week before Thanksgiving and passed it onto both Mommy and Grandpa. Her first taste her snot, yuk!

She's already found her favorite cartoon. She's completely captivated by "Little Einstein." Her attention is never divided when she's watching TV.
