Baby Room's first piece!

A few months ago, I was in the SF MOMA store with a couple of friends. I fell in love with a very simple version of a Cuckoo Clock, a mere silhouette of one. It retails for a WHOPPING $368.
Of course I had to show Tim. I thought it'd be great for the baby room, but at $368 may be not... So instead of buying it, he MADE one!! We used a different silhouette for ours. We wanted it to go with our theme for the room better. So, we found another cuckoo clock on the internet as a template.
Check out the final results!! And it was his FIRST TIME clocking making :)

Sherbu the Chameleon

We gave Sherbu a bath for the first time the other day. We started out with a fat cat and ended up with a LARGE Rat...

He can double as a baby for practice too!

Dinning room redo

While visiting New Orleans earlier this year, we had brunch at a French bistro called Croissant D'or Patisserie. We fell in love with the interior and were inspired to translate the decor to our dinning room.

Also, after building a lovely marble topped pantry cabinet, with the colors inspired by Croissant D'or Patisserie, the design fell into its own.

et viola! C'est fini...

Ella or Maxx???

For the first time today, we saw our baby as more than just a "blob." Seeing it in a more human shape is making it real. I finally feel like I'm actually pregnant. It's amazing how it's transformed from just less than two months ago. Can't wait to see more of it. I'm feeling a little verklempt!! Tim's immediate reaction was that he wanted to hug the little bugger.
This clip is fairly short, but try to pause it right when it starts. You can see the face. HAPPY HALLOWEEN...

Farewell to a great friend

This weekend was tough. My beloved friend Gooji passed away yesterday August 24th, 2008. He was 15 years old. He's been my companion and confidant for the past 14+ years. He was the one constant in my life when everything else changed constantly. I can always count on him to welcome me home after a tough day. He snuggled up to my side every night to sleep, and woke me up in the morning at the same time without fail everyday (sometimes a little too early). He'll always be a part of me and he will be remembered fondly. I miss you Gooji... I'm sure you'll be born into a good life in your next lifetime and bring joy and happiness to someone else's life as you did mine.

Baby Bib

I just finished a bib for my coworker's newborn. It took me an entire week to finish. Hope it's functional ......   Can't wait to see it on him.

The Beginning

This is the first entry on my blog. I've been stalling cause I simply don't know what to post! My cousin Emily had introduced me to this blogging world, and now I finally see why it's such an appealing idea!

My husband and I will mainly be utilizing this forum to share our passions with y'all.
