We haven't had large dinner parties for a while mainly because we simply don't have a table big enough to fit everyone. A couple of weeks ago when Roz was in town, we were faced with the same dilemma again. We were looking for a round table top to put on top of our existing table just like in Chinese restaurants, but couldn't find a place that sells 60" rounds. So, I called up Uncle Dominic to see if he knows a place that sells plywood that's large enough to cut a round. NO, just wasn't going to happen. BUT, I definitely have the hook up. He made one out of wood lying around at his house that same day! It measures 65" across, and can comfortably fit 12 people around. Best of all, it looks really rustic and super stylish too! We draped a black table clothe over it and it was the perfect table. Now we just need a lazy susan to go on top.
We also found the last piece of China that finally made our wall complete. Voila!
Now our dinning room is complete.
